Dana Truelove, Registered Psychotherapist
Clinical Supervision Services
I meet all of the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)'s qualifications to provide clinical supervision. If you are a psychotherapist seeking clinical supervision (e.g. working towards applying to the CRPO, or already registered but not yet certified for "independent practice"), please don't hesitate to contact me. I have supervised many therapists-in-training in the past few years and would be happy to chat if you are interested.
Holding a Master of Education degree in Counselling Psychology and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) designation with CRPO, I am passionate about helping individuals uniquely manage their mental health in ways that suit their needs and goals. I use a client-centered approach that empowers the individual to take control of their inner experiences in a way that’s meaningful to them through mindfulness and theories of acceptance commitment therapy. Prior to pursuing psychotherapy as a career, I completed a Master of Teaching degree and hold a designation as an Ontario Certified Teacher. My experiences as a teacher often informs my practice as a psychotherapist. Focusing on strengths and self-compassion, my hope is to assist my clients in learning skills that will help them remain resilient and gritty in an ever-developing society with high demands. My experiences have made me equipped to work with teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, and identity issues. By unpacking our past experiences and exploring how they relate to our present lives, we can create a future that promotes a healthy mental well-being.
